Mrs. Dina Rubio, Founder & Chairman of Latin Quarter WPB; Recipient of FSHCC's 2018 Outstanding Hispanic Leadership Award. Dina migrated with her family from Nicaragua to West Palm Beach in 1981. She worked for a short time at Northern Telecom to help her family in settling in the new country. In 1982 Dina enrolled Palm Beach Junior College and received her AA degree in Interior design continuing later her studies at Florida International University for her bachelor’s degree.
In 1994, Dina, together with her husband acquired several locations of Don Ramon Restaurant and remains engaged in this business full time until today. This includes control of quality, marketing, personnel, inventory and mainly customer service.
Working and living in the same city, Dina learned the importance of getting involved. She joined various nonprofit organizations that represent the best of the community including, Southside Business Association, HACER Ministries, ASPIRA of Florida, American Cancer Society, South Olive Elementary (SAC) among others.
